Power of Partnerships
Our focus on community health goes beyond one single event. We bring local leaders and organizations together to build healthier communities across the country.
Connecting experience with needView Events
Our Power of Partnerships events invite community leaders and organizations to explore how to connect their residents with important community resources, and how to address the social determinants of health (such as housing, employment, transportation, and food) that can negatively impact health outcomes.
As with our professional development courses, we want to give communities the tools and guidance they need to create lasting positive change and healthier outcomes.
Creating a dialogue for better health
Panelists and attendees can share their experiences and discuss how to:
- Collaborate among foundations, academic institutions, and nonprofits.
- Leverage public-private partnerships to improve health outcomes.
- Build a network of local and national organizations, such as United Way’s 2-1-1, to help residents in need.
We partner with organizations that lead efforts to build healthy communities, including the United Way, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the YMCA of the USA, Head Start programs, and city and state health departments.
